Shit for Shit

Ami stared blankly at the questions laid in front of her begging for answers... Honestly she had no clue and didn't even know where to begin.

She thought the test was going to be solely on one's personal experience in the classroom situation since the job in question was Teaching. She had passed the first hurdle which was the interview session and went ahead to download a whole book on "Principles of Education" when she was told there was going to be a test; the last obstacle to her financial freedom after three years of staying home.

Her neighbours were tired of seeing her face all day, her pet had gotten tired of having her around that it hid from her and only approached when she had food with her.

But here she was, looking at the gateway to her monthly salary now turning into a mirage or some sort of nightmare.

She had even made a list of the items she would buy the following month, the hierarchy list of debtors to pay and the chosen the place for her first leave.

Instead of seeing educationally inclined questions, she was seeing an array of questions asking about China and their population rate, The Soviet Union and some makers of civilization..."How am I going to answer these

questions, when I don't even know the gender of my MP?"Ami muttered under her breath.

She turned to readjust her seat, she felt a familiar urge and tried to ignore it. It echoed for the second time and before she knew she was asking for the whereabouts of a washroom.

She finished with her business in the washroom and turned the handle of the closet to get rid of the substance.

Water splashed, splashed and splashed but "Kantinka" reappeared floating on the surface of the water.

She waited for a while and turned the handle again, water splashed ,splashed and splashed.

"Ahhhhh", Ami sighed happily it was all gone but there again "Kantinka" went in and came out again poking its head like a good old plan!

Now, Ami was getting infuriated...she hadn't written anything and time was far spent and there was "Kantinka" too who wouldn't go away...

The most annoying part of being there in the washroom was just waiting for water to refill. Ami used that waiting time to practice her letters and numbers she had learned in class one.

After a while, water was refilled and Ami looked keenly at it , her "Kantinka" almost pleadingly asking it to go away.

She turned the handle, water splashed, splashed and splashed. "Kantinka" turned, somersaulted, spinned and twerked... Vanished in a second! An sigh of relief escaped from Ami's lips. "Kantinka" was gone at last!

She turned to open the door to leave but instincts told her to look back...Yeah, you guessed right! There was "Kantinka" who had gone against all odds as strong as ever floating on the surface of water as fresh and strong as when it was first deposited.

Ami, amidst tears banged and door and headed out. After twenty minutes, time was up!

Papers were collected.

Ami looked satisfied and unperturbed.

Only God knew what she had written.

But between herself and the history she had left behind, she knew she had  "replied shit with shit".
